Permite visualizar las cavidades card\u00edacas, su tama\u00f1o, el movimiento de sus paredes, adem\u00e1s de la estructura y el funcionamiento de las v\u00e1lvulas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Existen distintas modalidades de ecocardiograma. Por un lado, est\u00e1n las t\u00e9cnicas que estudian la anatom\u00eda card\u00edaca. El modo M analiza los espesores de las estructuras card\u00edacas y sus movimientos en funci\u00f3n del tiempo. El modo bidimensional es la forma m\u00e1s habitual de ecograf\u00eda card\u00edaca, y muestra los ventr\u00edculos, aur\u00edculas y las v\u00e1lvulas en movimiento en diferentes planos. Actualmente, tambi\u00e9n es posible obtener im\u00e1genes tridimensionales, es decir, vol\u00famenes en tiempo real.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Por otro lado, las t\u00e9cnicas de Doppler y Doppler color se emplean para analizar la velocidad y la direcci\u00f3n del flujo de la sangre dentro de las cavidades card\u00edacas, a trav\u00e9s de las v\u00e1lvulas, o en las arterias y venas que se conectan con el coraz\u00f3n.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Las im\u00e1genes ecocardiogr\u00e1ficas se obtienen apoyando un dispositivo -llamado \u201ctransductor\u201d- en distintos puntos de la pared del t\u00f3rax. Se trata de un procedimiento no invasivo y no doloroso, y aunque la duraci\u00f3n es variable seg\u00fan el caso, oscila entre 20 y 40 minutos<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"pgc-sgb-cb
